 1.    Hardy Featherweight Silent Check 2 7/8"   $275

This is one of the silent check Hardy's that were built in the 1960s.  It has 97% of the finish remaining and the desirable U-shaped line guide.  Smooth aluminum foot.  This real is mechanically perfect and overall in excellent++ condition. 

2.    Hardy A&F Featherweight Silent Check 2 7/8"  

This reel is the same as the above reel except that it has the A&F markings on it.  Has the U-shaped line guard with patent dates.  Comes in the original box marked 1964 with an original price of $26.75.  Condition is NEW/Mint on this reel.  

3.    Meek 54 A&F 2 7/8"      $325

This is a very unusual Meek model 54.  It is not marked Meek at all on the reel but has the Meek latch, foot, and frame.  The foot has the typical Meek serial number on it.  Marked on the back of the frame "Abercrombie and Fitch Co.   NEW YORK".  I have never seen another Meek trade reel like this one in this small 2 7/8" size.  The frame is a natural aluminum with some sort of lacquer or anodizing which is also a first for me.  It remains in excellent condition.

4.   Bill Ballan Model 50      $275

This is Bill Ballan's version of a Leonard 50 raised pillar reel.  It is very well done with aluminum bands and a bronze bearing.  This one is about brand new.  A great reel that actually functions better than the originals which usually have a weak spring.  

5.    Bellinger Mark I 2 3/4" Narrow     $535

Here is a Bellinger Mark I in the 2 3/4" Narrow model.  A traditionally styled reel with an S-shaped handle.  Reel is all aluminum with some nickel silver accents.  Will handle up to a DT3 line.  This reel has the solid spool and front-plate which I think looks a lot better than the more common perforated front-plate.  Reel is new in the box with papers and pouch.

6.    Orvis SSS 11-12 Direct-Drive        $200

This is one of the Orvis SSS reels made by STH in Argentina.  This is a very well made reel for heavy saltwater fishing.  It is the 11/12 size and will handle up to a WF12 and 300 yards of 30# backing.  Has a very good drag system for large fish and long runs.  Reel has seen little if any use and remains in excellent ++ condition.  Comes in the Orvis pouch with papers.  Hard to find a reel of this quality for this price. 

7.    Bellinger 3 1/4" Classic   $750

This is one of the classic designs by Bellinger.  Has an aluminum foot, spool, and end rings with delrin sideplates.  Accents are nickel silver.  A great size reel that will handle up to a DT5 plus some backing.  Comes in a suede drawstring pouch.  Reel looks brand new and remains in near mint condition.  

8.    W.E. Carpenter Reel       $725

Here is an example of Walt Carpenter's first reel, pre-dating the Carpenter  & Casey reel.  Its 2 1/2" in diameter and is made from all aluminum.  Black sideplates with some brass accents such as screws and counter-balance.  Reel will handle up to a DT3 line.  It remains in mint/new condition and comes in the original box.  Has the W.E. Carpenter Rod Co. name plate on the back.  A great collectible that is rarely seen.

9.    Orvis Vortex 7/8       $225

Here is an Orvis Vortex Large arbor reel in the 7/8 size.  Reel is made from bar stock aluminum and has a gold anodized finish.  Great saltwater reel with a very good drag system.  Condition is brand new and comes in the original box without papers.

10.    Hardy Cascapedia 4/0 Salmon Reel      $1250

This is one of the Hardy Cascapedia reels built several years ago.  It is the 4/0 salmon model that is perfect for spey casting.  Has the classic adjustable drag with serpentine handle.  Black ebonite sideplates with nickel silver end rings.  The spool is aluminum to keep the weight down.  On/Off click button on the back plate.  Will handle up to an 11 wt.  Comes in the original box and black leather case.  Reel is in brand new/MINT condition.  

11.    Thompson Reel No. 500   $475

Here is a very nice example of the famous Thomson reel.  It is very similar to a Hardy Perfect but with a stronger check system.  Has a smooth brass foot and black anodized aluminum finish.  Has a nice round line guide that is built into the frame.  This is the Model 500 which is a wide spool steelhead/salmon model.  Great for a small spey or switch rod.  Overall condition is very good with some finish wear around the handle and on faceplate.  Mechanically perfect.
