Bamboo Rod Blanks

UPDATED:  7/13/04

I now have the ability to produce extremely high quality 6-strip bamboo rod blanks at reasonable prices.  The bamboo used is first rate and the tapers are proven from some of the most famous makers of the past.  The blanks are flamed for the Paul Youngs, oven cooked for the Paynes and natural for the Garrisons.  The ferrules are already mounted and are of high quality nickel silver.  The rods are are straightened but may need some tweaking to get them perfect after the guides have been wrapped on.  If you have a particular request for a taper don't hesitate to ask.  I can have a custom blank made generally within a couple of weeks.

Quad Blanks

I am now producing quadrate blanks since I had numerous inquiries about them.  They will have nickel silver ferrules that can be blued if the customer desires (ferrules are round Super Z style squared for 1/4".)  The rods will be straightened but may need some fine tuning to make them arrow straight.  Please check out the reel seat page to check out the available design that you will want to match to your blank.
